The Munich Economic Summit is a joint initiative of CESifo
— the international platform of Munich University's Center for Economic Studies and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research — and the BMW Stiftung Herbert Quandt.

The 2004 Summit, held Friday, 18 June, focused on the effects of the European Constitution on such areas as migration policies, the welfare state and the labour markets.
