The 2005 Summit, to be held on 9 and 10 June, will focus on Europe’s global competitiveness, conducting a critical assessment of the achievements attained so far towards the goal of the Lisbon Summit 2000 to establish Europe as “the world’s most competitive and dynamic economy by 2010”.
The Munich Economic Summit is a joint initiative of the BMW Stiftung Herbert Quandt and the CESifo
Group Munich, which encompasses Munich University’s Center for Economic
Studies and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research.
